• This Working Group is convening to scope the problem with DICOM data migrations related to data in static form.  Typically, data at rest is stored and not updated at the file level until migrations occur, which is problematic when dealing with large file systems. 

Current Supplements, Work and Objectives:

• At its meeting the week of June 21, WG-06 reviewed the Public Comment on Sup223. Much of the allotted agenda time was taken up with discussion of one comment (see item 5.A below), and Sup223 was not released for ballot. It will return to WG-06 the week of August 30, at which time it may be approved for ballot.

Challenges and Opportunities (Environment):

• We are defining the scope of the problem, and realize that we cannot address all issues inherent to storing and updating files.

• New Work Item Proposal has been submitted to DSC for August meeting.
