DICOM® has a Patent Disclosure Policy as described in Section 9 of the Governance.
The policy requires organizations to submit a signed Declaration when applying to become a member agreeing to abide by the policy.

Requests for permission to reproduce the DICOM Standard may be submitted to the DICOM Secretariat (dicom@dicomstandard.org) for consideration by the DICOM Standards
Committee.
